Affordable Insurance Direct was founded in 1996 by Elton “Bud” Hall. His vision was to use the business as the vehicle for his passion of serving others. Bud has called South Carolina home for 45 years. He married the love of his life, Lynn, 5 years ago. As of September 2025, Bud has officially retired, but his mission of serving the Carolinas lives on. Though he may not be in the office on a daily basis, he is still very much involved in future of AID.
In 2019 Carolyn Estey joined the AID family as a Customer Service Representitive and then the Office Manager. In early 2023 Carolyn officially became an agent herself. When Carolyn is not in the office you can find her in the kitchen being a phenomenal hostess. Some of her other hobbies include: crocheting, shopping, reading, and organizing. More than anything, she enjoys sharing her love to other people and helping in any way she can. She has been married to her husband Seth for 18 years and has a beautiful daughter named Maddie who was born in 2024. Carolyn has called South Carolina home for 15 years.
